    Hi guys,
    First time here for me, so be gentle :)
    When I connect the n7 to my PC I can't see the contents of my download folders, yes my PC has been set to view hidden files, and yes I have astro file managment app, I can see 5 podcasts and 2 films using astro, but when browsing using the PC I can't find them.
    Any thoughts or tips would be a great help,
    Cheers mej. :)

    Did you select the SMTP option on your device? Is USB debugging on?

    When you plug in usb to tablet, look for the usb icon in status bar. Swipe it down and select mpt. Not camera. Also check that you have device drivers installed in your pc.

    He means the device drivers installed to your PC so when it is connected to the PC it can be recognized. Not that the drivers are up to date on your tablet.

    Just making sure.....

    @jimbo
    PC is xp pro 32 bit.

    @steve,
    Yeah PC drivers are up to date m8.

    Just weird as I can see folders via pc /usb .
    But there's nothing in n7 download folder,
    Even when astro says I have files in there.
    As I mentioned, weird v weird.

    It might be an issue with MTP cache, try to restart the device. If that doesn’t work it could be a permission issue, try to copy the files in a file manager do a different location. In worst case you could copy the files to the pictures folders and connect your device as an camera.

    When you connect to usb to tablet, look for the usb symbol in status bar. Swipe it down and select mpt. Not cam. Likewise watch that you have gadget drivers introduced in your pc.

    If the op is still looking for an answer 2 years later, they have bigger issues.
