Currently I am using Meridian but I don't like the interface. Are there better alternatives?

Try an app that was talked about on here called "rock on" its a music player that has a pretty decent interface and looks much better than meridian.

I'm personally happy with the built in player. I'll only change if I find one with better performance.

Isn't there a program that you need in order to run this? I have been unable to find it.....any ideas?

I just "spoke" with the developer of this app. This is the only app that pulled all correct album art, and I am talking albums from Tony Defranco and Sweet....Filip is working on getting playlists to work. Currently, app pulls playlists from iTunes and Motorola Device Center, as well as those on WMP.

The native music player is fine, it just can't pull the correct art.

As far as video goes I'm sticking with the default player for now. There are a few decent players but they don't play all formats supported by the phone. Meridan is the only one besides the default player that does but it sucks. You have to use the menu to get a seek bar and then when you use it it lags big time. I emailed the developer but no response

After fussing with it I decided to stick with the default. It does work really well for now.

I am also for the default player, I have tried several others but the default is easy to use.

+1 on the default player... might not have the bling of some of the other players, but usage is simple and straight-forward.
