Connect your Android device to your computer, You'll see a new drive or "Removable Disk" appear on your computer for the SD card. Open it up, and copy all the files inside to a new location on your computer.

What about doing this for an android phone like Nexus 5X which has no SD card? There is no removable disk.

Also you can try a desktop manager to help you like Android Mobile Manager.

If the phone or tablet has no SD card, the pc sees the phone/tablet as removable storage. Certain files you can see, usually your music and photos, and sometimes certain apps. Apps you have downloaded from outside sources (not the Google play store) will be seen, but not system apps or apps that came pre-installed. To see those, you must be rooted, which is a whole different topic...

Each & every individual is familiar with this, I mean transferring a data from mobile to PC is not a big deal. Just connect both of them & do the needful. That's it...

Unlike using USB you plug it into pc and transfer will work. I think mobile to pc is different.

Its an easy task to connect and transfer data from android phone to computer by using USB cable.Computer will automatically detect your phone. There is only one condition that you are not using windows xp operating system in your computer because it does not connect with android phones.

There are several ways of doing it. It depends upon the file. The simplest way is to use USB cable for it. However if you have a problem with that you can use google drive or any other cloud storage for it.

You will need the software CD that came with your android phone. Once you install it should have an option to connect to PC.

Alternatively, you could copy the files using the memory card on your android. If the files are on your memory then all you need to do is read the memory card on your system using a card reader.
If not you can transfer the files to your memory card and then read/write contents on your PC using a card reader.

For contacts: you can try Google gmail to sync Android contacts to computer.
For messages, I don't think you can export, but you may need third party to do that, maybe this article helps:

To transfer android media files like photos to computer, you can try Google Drive Backup , Google Photos, USB. But if you want to transfer text messages or contacts from android phone to computer, these methods won't help, you should use an android assistant to help.

Connect the USB wire of your phone to the PC, like in the image and then go to your PC drives and you will see your phone there,
open that and you will find many folders of your phone like images, videos, music etc. choose copy and paste it into your PC D drive or where ever you keep that data files on the PC, it will take some minutes depending on your processor speed then your r done with that. There are some Apps as well which manages Phone to PC transfer for Android. Hope you will find this useful

If you files are stored in sd card, you can transfer via USB connection. Connect the phone's USB cable to the PC. After plugging in, select "USB Mass Storage" when prompted pn the phone. To transfer files to/from the pc, browse to the new USB virtual drive, find the files/folders and copy/paste away!
For the files stored internal memory, it doesn't work, you have to rely on transfer tools:
