I have downloaded the above upgrade but
    1. What is the difference?
    2. Is there a way to change the display or coloring or whatever you call it when you open the telephone application? I hate the interface. Thanks dear friends.

First its not iOS...thats Apple ;)

There is probably nothing different that you would know from 2.3.4 or 2.3.3, just bug fixes and updates on Googles end really.

You would need to be on a CyanogenMod ROM and either create a theme (which I dont know how to do) or download a theme that works with the T-Mobile theme engine included in the CyanogenMod ROM..OR just a custom ROM that already has different dialer built in. Another option is to download a different dialer app, I have not done that, for me that's pretty trivial on my phone.

Scott, he isn't rooted. Can you install a ROM without root?

Alkali, I have phone dialers that have different skins if you want.

You can always "play" with your phone you know, that´s the fun in getting an Android after all; you can try to get it root so you can install different UIs or applications that dramatically affect the looks on your phone
Good luck and try to have some fun
