Motorola BACKFLIP root

    Ok can someone tell me how to root and get cyanogenmod on this phone my uncle bought one off ebay but doesn't want motoblur

    Ok so I switched fones with my uncle and now I have the backflip... I downloaded the rom manager and even bought it... but I don't see cyanogenmod anywhere.... please help me

    go to download rom>Cyanogen rom>there might be a list (choose the one at the top for the most recent)>then download>choose google apps and at the very end of the download it will ask you if you want to A) backup your rom b)clear dalvik c) clear cache. choose yes to all of these.
    The phone will go into this weird loading screen but dont worry thats the R.M. doing its thing, and then the phone will reboot and you should see a Cyanogen colored android at the beginning.

    The Backflip is now getting CM7 nightlies, you can download the file here.

    They might have a few bugs in it, but will only get worked out over time. They update every night (you of course dont have to update everynight) but you can update whenever you like.

    I downloaded RM but the cyanogenmod isn't there all is there is the the qwertz for cm.. a precliar kernal

    Download both... cuz I just downloaded the one that said 5.. and it said abort...

    That's when I tried to use... it went all black and words poped up... telling me it couldn't find the file and said abort...

    Try downloading from a PC and then use a USB cable to transfer the file over, download works fine from my PC right now. Trying #6
