    Its not Google thats borked the update system, its the carriers...
    Google only updates the Nexus phones directly

    But Scott, isn't that the point of the rant posted in that blog? He/she wants Google to step in and get control of their OS and no longer leave it to the whims of the carriers.

    With the way Android has developed I don't know if it is really reasonable to expect anything like Google becoming the "overseer" of Android. Isn't that how it was sold....Open Source and have a good time doing your own thing with it?

    With that said the OP needs to make his/her frustration clear to their service provider, but be ready to be ignored.
