Are you talking about taking a screenshot with the phone? Or actually just posting one here?

Not sure, but I don't think you can capture a screenshot without first rooting the phone. Let's see what Scott has to say......

Galaxy phones can do this without rooting, but I don't think it applies to the Galaxy Stellar version. However, you can try one of these to see if it may work:
    1) Press and hold Back button + Home button for a moment and release together
    2) Press and hold Power button + Home button for a moment- Release Power button first, then Home key
    3) Press and hold Power button+Volume button together for a moment and release together

If it works you should hear the shutter sound and a message will indicate "Saving Screenshot". If saved you will find it in your Gallery.

If it doesn't work with the ways Steve pointed to above then, there MIGHT be an app that can do it without root, but those are few and far between and don't always work. Only sure fire way is to unlock and root the phone.

Droid RAZR's can do it too without rooting. Hold power and volume down for 2 seconds, and then release. Found this out when trying to reset one day.

That is swell, but the OP does not have a RAZR.

    Just sayin'....

I am aware of that. Was just trying to be helpful. I figured someone would eventually ask.

So what did you wind up using to get a screen shot Tiffany01?

BTW...I noticed your battery icon indicates 17%....LiIon batteries should not be regularly run down below 20%. Doing so damages the battery and shortens the battery life. Just thought I would pass that along.....
