Qik Chat not working at all?

    Anybody not getting Qik chat working? My brother has a Evo too. Recently I had to do a hard reset on his phone because his browser wasn't working. But he couldn't remember his Google account password. So I had to create a new one for him. he couldn't remember his Qik account info either. (did I mention this is his first smartphone or any phone that cost over $50. lol)

    So I created a new account and Qik is not working at all. We've tried calling each other numbers through and it just says "establishing connection" and then stops that call after a few minutes. I sent him video yesterday through Qik and it sent a text message to his phone, but he wasn't able to view. Yesterday we both were in a 4G area and it said "couldn't connect to Qik server".

    Anybody else having issues?

    havent used Qik but could it be down for service maybe?

    I just checked their forum. They say its not compatible with 2.2 yet. Which is just crazy cause they are about to release the Epic.

    Hi,

    We understand there are some issues with video chatting on EVOs and we are working on it. It will be launched very soon. In the mean time, here are a few steps you can take.

    1. Place a call to the qik username of the contact instead of the their phone number.

    2. Try making a video chat using a strong WiFi network. Sometimes the strength of connection influences the call.

    3. Try signing out and signing in again and then make the video call and see if it works.

    4. Try rebooting your phone (taking out the batteries for 30s and putting them back in), and make the call again.
