I moved my iPhone 5 nanoSIM (yes, I needed an adapter) to my Nexus 4. Under mobile networks, it had AT&T selected but I had no data. I thought I would have to make a call to AT&T and they can be a pain in the neck when it comes to having an iPhone and something else on your plan.

In any event, I used the settings found on Ty Smith's blog. Worked like a charm.

    APN Settings:
    Name: AT&T US HSPA+ (This doesn’t matter)
    APN: pta
    Proxy: Not set
    Port: Not set
    Username: Not set
    Password: Not set
    Server: Not set
    MMSC: http : // mmsc.mobile.att.net (remove spaces)
    MMS proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
    MMS port: 80
MCC: 310 (should be auto set to your country code)
MNC: 410 (should be auto set to your network code)
    Authentication type: Not set
    APN type: default,admin,fota,mms,supl,hipri
    APN protocol: IPv4/IPv6
    APN roaming protocol: IPv4/IPv6
    Bearer: Unspecified

It helped me and hopefully this will help someone in the same predicament.

I have been meaning to write something like this on my website and you have given me an idea. Your post will be rather good.
