    Interesting numbers...
Do keep in mind the 20 million figure is not orders placed by individuals. It represents orders placed by the companies that will sell the devices to consumers through retail stores. The 20 million figure doesn't necessarily reflect sales to end users, but it is a helpful look-see of the impact the device is expected to have. The sellers obviously believe consumer demand will be there so they are taking no chances of not having enough supply.

What I find most interesting is the breakdown of models being ordered. Looks like 3 to 1, S6 = 15 million and S6 Edge = 5 million.

Samsung has a lot riding on this and producing the 20 million does hold some risk. Most Pre-order contracts with companies include clauses allowing returns of unsold inventory. That means if the guesses are wrong the companies doing the selling don't take the hit....Samsung does and that could be quite damaging to them.

Personally I don't think lackluster sales will be a problem because of the improvements and radical changes that have been made to the model line.
